Join us for the March 29 luncheon to hear a presentation by The Health Foundation of Greater Cincinnati, an independent not-for-profit organization dedicated to improving community health. The Health Foundation provides educational programs, facilitates community efforts, and awards grants to non-profit and governmental organizations for programs and activities that improve people’s health in Cincinnati and 20 surrounding counties in Indiana, Kentucky and Ohio. We hope to support your efforts in helping your small business members navigate changes to their business that will soon take effect in the new health care laws.

We have found that many small business owners are unaware or uncertain exactly how the new law will affect them. As part of its mission to improve the health of the Cincinnati region, the Health Foundation has a public education effort underway to help small businesses (typically those with less than 100 employees) understand the Affordable Care Act (ACA) and the impact its changes will have on their businesses. The Foundation is not trying to change opinion on the law itself, only to help educate about the law itself and what it means, in this case, to small businesses who often don’t have many resources to understand and manage issues like this.

. The presentation will include:

· Employer Benefits and Responsibility

· Insurance Plan Changes

· Common Questions

· Roundtable Q&A discussion

The vent will be held at the Springdale Community Center located at 11999 Lawnview Avenue, Springdale, OH 45246 from 11:30 am – 1:15 pm. The cost is $15 for members and $20 for non-members. Please RSVP no later than March 27 by emailing julie@springdalechamber.org.

Springdale and Woodlawn Chambers Joint Luncheon Meeting
Wednesday, April 18
11:45 registration, 12:00 – 1:15 pm lunch and program
Goodwill Industries, 10600 Springfield Pike, Woodlawn

Topic: Strengthening Customer Relationships

Winning customers may just be the easiest thing we do. Keeping them may be much harder. Even though we have successfully sold our customers on the value we can bring to them, there is no guarantee that they will stay with us over the long term. An often over looked aspect of retaining customers and reducing churn is continuously reinforcing our value to our customers in a socially acceptable way.

There are many ways to strengthen our relationships with our customers. Saving even one customer from the competition could be very beneficial to our business. Don Gray, founder and president of Sales Engineering Group, will share with us why, all too often, we tend to focus on growing our new business initiatives to the detriment of retaining our long-term relationships with existing customers. Don will discuss ways that we can look at our business to determine how we can more effectively build long term, profitable relationships. Based on the principles found in the book, The Paradox of Excellence by David Mosby and Michael Weissman, Don will discuss how to evaluate the long-term value that our customers get when they buy our solutions and how to reinforce that value to build lasting relationships with satisfied customers.

Don is the founder and president of Sales Engineering Group. Sales Engineering Group drives more predictable sales results through helping clients become more effective at hiring and retaining the right People, by implementing Sales Processes that accurately reflect the revenue potential, and by improving the Performance of the sales team with improved selling skills and value messaging.

Don has enjoyed a twenty-five-plus year career in sales, marketing, international management, strategic planning, and sales process and coaching. He has consulted with a wide variety of Fortune 1000 Companies such as NCR, Teradata, Qualcomm, Mellon Bank, Intel, and Cassidian Communications in implementing and operationalizing various sales methodologies, sales process improvements, and sales skills development.

Cost: $15 for members and $20 for non-members
